My Town Centre

Vision art students create a personal view of Mansfield

Using the theme “My Town Centre”, we challenged Creative Arts students at Vision West Nottinghamshire College to make a piece of artwork inspired by the Townscape Heritage Project. It could be a whole street, a particular property, or a detail from a building.

The students used art creation software to produce their pieces and you can view them all in this online gallery.  The artwork will also be printed out for display in an exhibition at Mansfield Museum in August.

Competition was fierce,  with a varied and vibrant collection of imaginative responses to the theme and the judges had a very difficult task, but three worthy winners have been awarded a certificate and ‘high street’ vouchers to the value of £100, £60 and £30.
