Caroline and I were at Wonderfest 2021 in Titchfield Park spreading the word about the project and hoping to capture more fascinating stories about the buildings in the Townscape Heritage area. Many thanks to everyone who stopped and talked to us.
Here are some of the postcard memories they shared with us, including the tall tale of a whale floating into town on the back of a truck. It’s true! It really happened – there were three of them touring the country in the decades after World War II. Maybe you were one of the thousands of children who were taken to see Jonah. You might even have a photo tucked away in a family album.
