Brief History

31 Market Place was built in the early 20th century.

Current Condition

It is an unusual, quirky building in good condition, mostly intact apart from the loss of the parapet balustrade. It has a glazed terracotta tiled façade.

Suggested Works

Minor repairs including a crack in the terracotta gable. Reinstate the glazed terracotta cornice and upper section of balustrade and copings between pilasters.

A pilaster is a rectangular, flat column that protrudes from a wall.
