Brief History
The Market Inn was built around 1830 and is Grade II listed.
Current Condition
The three-storey corner building is painted ashlar stone with a slate roof and two sets of two sash windows on the first and second floor. It is a striking building in fair condition which has group value with neighbouring properties. There is flaking paintwork on cornices and dormers and some gutters are blocked.
Suggested Works
Repairs to dormers and cornice, plus sash windows if required following investigation. Unblock over-light to the entrance door. Reinstate an original-style metal vent.
