Brief History
19-21 Leeming Street once formed part of a series of stone buildings. Numbers 13 and 15 were demolished and replaced with the brick building where The Green Dragon pub now stands, making 17-21 the only part of this original stone structure remaining.
It is one of the oldest buildings on Leeming Street, from the late Georgian period.
The Garrison pub is inspired by the TV series Peaky Blinders.
Condition
The building is of coursed stone with sash windows in stone surrounds. The painted timber shopfront may be original with a modern fascia.
Suggested Works
Clean the stonework and overhaul the windows. Reinstate the Welsh-slate roof and the case iron downpipe.
