Brief History
7-9 Leeming Street is one of the few original stone buildings on Leeming Street and therefore one of the oldest remaining, along with numbers 17-21, from the late Georgian period.
It was once two separate shops, number 9 at one time being Parr’s pie shop and number 7 being MacFisheries.
The Glazey Place is a pottery painting studio, popular with parties and crafty individuals, which has been on the site since 2017 after moving from White Hart Street.
Condition
The building is a semi-detached, coursed stone structure in good condition with dormer windows.
Suggested Works
Explore the evidence for the original shop front and reinstate if possible and ventilate the cellar at street level.
